Managing a major case is among the most challenging managerial functions that anyone in law enforcement can perform, and there are numerous pitfalls to avoid. It is the goal of this book to provide law enforcement managers with the necessary tools and strategies they can use in managing their next major case. This book contains a number of case studies, which will highlight both the good and the bad decisions taken on a variety of major cases in a variety of settings. This book will address many skills and strategies to better prepare law enforcement professionals to successfully meet the challenges of managing major case investigations.
